GROUP SIZE: 16

Description

An inevitable part of leadership is having challenging conversations. Performance management, delivering bad news, giving critical feedback and, let’s be honest, receiving critical feedback too. Without appropriate training no wonder many people put off having the conversations they need to have. This allows poor performance to persist and risks demoralising higher performing team members.

Having difficult conversations means overcoming internal barriers and skilfully addressing the issues rather than the person. In this program participants will learn to confidently address performance matters, deliver bad news, tackle difficult behaviour and resolve interpersonal issues.

Requirements

This half-day Difficult Conversations Program has been developed for participants who have already completed the two-day Coaching Conversations Program. This prerequisite training enables participants to:

  • build rapport quickly in-person or online

  • ask powerful questions

  • develop active listening skills

  • adopt a collaborative win-win mindset to achieve optimal results

  • build relationships through solution-focused conversational frameworks

Who is this program for?

  • Anyone who wants to learn about how to approach a conversation that may be challenging and ensure that it reaches a positive and constructive conclusion.

  • The course will be of particular interest to senior leadership, managers and team leaders.
